What's the difference between your services and me buying a DIY pressure washer?

As pressure washing becomes more and more mainstream, many homeowners are tempted to rent or buy their own pressure washers and take it into their own hands. There are, however, a few very major upsides to choosing to go the professional route:

Training and experience: While knowledgeable homeowners may prepare themselves by reading the user manual and pressure washing articles, watching Youtube tutorials, etc, there's no replacement for professional training and experience. There are many common mistakes that even a cautious amateur cleaner can easily make which can lead to serious cosmetic or structural property damage or even personal harm! Passing the work over to a professional minimizes a lot of risks.
High-quality equipment: When tackling really heavy clean-up jobs such as major spills or old stain removal, sometimes your home pressure washer just doesn't have enough force behind it to get the job done. How often should I get my house washed?

Generally, the rule of thumb is this: have your home's exterior washed about once every 6-12 months, aka once or twice a year. This is enough to cut off mold and algae growth and remove seasonal messes like dust and pollen while not overdoing it and putting stress on your home's exteriors. Sometimes a storm or other outside factors will create a big mess and require an additional cleaning in between your regular ones, but generally, you're fine having your house washed just once or twice a year!

I have old, set in stains. Does your service clean those up?

Absolutely. Set-in stains are a major source of stress and annoyance for property owners, and pressure washing is an effective means of stain removal.

We approach our cleaning with a variety of methods that let us tackle just about every exterior surface. If your hardscape stains are super-resistant, we turn up the heat and power wash the area with a hot-water stream to finally scour those stains out. If we're cleaning a delicate area that's too fragile for pressure washing, we soft wash it with a biodegradable detergent that slowly but surely breaks those stains down. Whatever you need to be cleaned, we can do it!

Do you use any harsh chemicals in your process?

Actually, with a lot of our work, we don't use cleaning chemicals at all! Pressure washing is generally done with just plain water- we just highly pressurize it so that it can blast stains off of hard surfaces. It's one of the reasons why pressure washing is preferred by property owners looking for an eco-friendly cleaning method.

When doing soft washing, or when sanitizing areas of growths like bacteria, mold, and algae, we do utilize cleaning detergents. However, we used eco-friendly options which are biodegradable and wash away cleanly with a plain water rinse, leaving behind no harmful residue and creating minimal environmental impact. We strive to create a safe environment for your home or business, so we don't use harsh chemicals that could jeopardize that safety!

What's the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing is traditionally used for exterior cleaning jobs, such as concrete and hard surface areas. This method uses high pressure (PSI), much higher than the soft washing method.

Soft washing involves using a biodegradable chemical that removes the biological elements (mold, algae, pollen, dirt, moss) and other stains without damaging surfaces on your property. Another major difference is that soft washing uses low-pressure equipment and nozzles on the end of a pressure washing gun or wand. Soft washing method is mostly used to clean surfaces, such as roof, deck, patio, siding, or fence.
